The Faucher Family are the next Griswalds. At a cost of $82,320 a month, or $686/hr, the Faucher's of Delaware are sure to be annoying many neighbors on their block. 1 million Christmas lights keep their neighborhood glowing throughout the night.
If I were a neighbor, I'd be planning a sabotage attack on the Faucher's display. Still, it is pretty neat.
I'm not gonna bother to waste your time listing stuff that aren't that great of deals. As most of you have probably gathered already, there isn't a real abundance of hot deals for this year's BF. So I'll just list the deals I think might be worth checking out.
Crucial's got a deal for refurb SSDs for $1/GB
Shuttle Computers are offering a deal to the first 100 people ordering X350 model that with the code UKNOWUWANT1, it's free.
Roku XD (which I want) for $64, a decent 20% off deal
4GB G.Skill Ripjaw DDR3 10666 Ram for $49.99. Pretty great snag.
This is very cool stuff. The Xbox Kinect, which has already been shown to be a wealth of opportunities for hackers to take advantage of, has been transformed into a interactive puppet projection. Still in its infant stages, but shows a ton of potential.
"Wafaa Bilal, an NYU photography professor, plans on having a camera attached to a piercing on the back of his head for one year. Throughout that time, still images will be taken at one minute intervals and displayed at Mathaf: Arab Museum of Modern Art in Qatar. "
So Randy Moss' stint with the Minnesota Vikings has once again ended. Rather quickly this time. He was waived today after being traded to Minnesota just 4 weeks ago by the New England Patriots.
Where does he go next? Back to New England? That would certainly make them the winners of the trade, gaining a 3rd round pick. Several other teams are in need of wide receivers such as: Bears, Seahawks, Rams, Dolphins, Jets, and Chiefs.
This videos hilarious. A reporter from Texas is in San Francisco for the World Series. While reporting he can't but help share that he smells weed. Throughout the report he keeps mentioning it. I think he had a few puffs before going on air.
Now this is pretty cool. Watch the next Mars rover be built live via ustream. Watch as the men in funny white suits work. Hope they don't do anything embarrassing like pick their nose and eat it...you're on candid camera!
Head over to http://www.eso.org/~sguisard/Pagim/darkest_sky.html to see these beautiful photos taken in Chile. The site has flash so you can zoom in on the photos. It's really incredible how many stars there are.
I tried adding one of the flash elements but blogger doesn't want to show it :(
This looks awesome. A huge body tracking tetris game outdoors in Madrid, Spain. One player's movements changes the blocks orientations, the other player's movements change the blocks position.
I want to play this.
MOSCOW (Reuters) - The lead Russian contractor for the International Space Station (ISS) says it plans to build the first hotel in space to cash in on a growing market for private tourism, a senior executive said on Thursday.
Energia, part owned by the Russian state, wants investors for a private space station that would house up to seven people and serve as a hotel, said Alexander Derechin, the company's deputy chief designer.
"Commercial space ships are being built around the world, they will need to fly somewhere," Derechin told Reuters.
Engadget just posted a specs lineup of all the new tablets coming out. The BlackBerry Playbook being the newest competitor. Definitely interesting. Which would you buy?
From personal use, the iPad is severely addicting, but soley for its browsing prowess. I don't use it for anything else, so these others definitely can be considered even despite the lack of apps in comparison to the apple app store. The Galaxy Tab has interested me the most because of the Android 2.2 which supports Flash. I'm not sure if the Playbook supports flash or not. The smaller 7" screen is good and bad. Love having all that real estate but does make it more cumbersome. I'll have to find out more about the PlayBook before I fully decide which is the winner. The 3MP front and 5MP rear is quite impressive however. (Rear really is useless though. Who's gonna take a picture with that huge thing )
The boys over at Top Gear were seen in NY with a GT3, SLS AMG, and 458 Italia. My guess is Hamster was in the GT3, Clarkson in the SLS, and James in the 458. The trio in the US always make for an epic episode. Can't wait for season 16 to start!
