Black Friday Roundup...Few more hours!

I'm not gonna bother to waste your time listing stuff that aren't that great of deals. As most of you have probably gathered already, there isn't a real abundance of hot deals for this year's BF. So I'll just list the deals I think might be worth checking out.

  • Crucial's got a deal for refurb SSDs for $1/GB
  • Shuttle Computers are offering a deal to the first 100 people ordering X350 model that with the code UKNOWUWANT1, it's free.
  • Roku XD (which I want) for $64, a decent 20% off deal
  • 4GB G.Skill Ripjaw DDR3 10666 Ram for $49.99. Pretty great snag.
  • Amazon's selling the Kindle 2 for $89.99

A good BF list by Engadget

And DealVista has the motherload Black Friday list. This thing is hefty, take your time. Comprehensive deal spreadsheet.

Kinect Puppet Show Hack

Interactive Puppet Prototype with Xbox Kinect from Theo Watson on Vimeo.

This is very cool stuff. The Xbox Kinect, which has already been shown to be a wealth of opportunities for hackers to take advantage of, has been transformed into a interactive puppet projection. Still in its infant stages, but shows a ton of potential.

I'll be following this project.

Wtf? This guy really wants eyes in the back of his head...

"Wafaa Bilal, an NYU photography professor, plans on having a camera attached to a piercing on the back of his head for one year. Throughout that time, still images will be taken at one minute intervals and displayed at Mathaf: Arab Museum of Modern Art in Qatar. "

Mercedes-Benz Biome Concept

I dig it. Hopefully we'll see something like this in the somewhat near future, not 40+ years from now.

What Fast Food Really Looks Like

This is false advertising at its finest, yet it's completely legal. Thoughts? I'm hungry now, however. They work.

Addicted to Angry Birds? Have a treat while you play

I'm addicted to Angry Birds too. I'm on like 11-9 or something. I want this cake. It's awesome.

Edit: actually I just beat it again :/ They need to update again and add more levels! So addicting.

iPhone/iPad apps on your big screen?

This is pretty awesome. Have some apps you'd love to play with on a bigger screen? How about your 50" living room LCD? Could really have some fun when you have people over.

When are we going to break up? Facebook knows.

Wondering when your significant other and you will call it quits? Facebook has a pretty good guess when it will happen.

Randy, How We Hardly Knew Ye...

So Randy Moss' stint with the Minnesota Vikings has once again ended. Rather quickly this time. He was waived today after being traded to Minnesota just 4 weeks ago by the New England Patriots.

Where does he go next? Back to New England? That would certainly make them the winners of the trade, gaining a 3rd round pick. Several other teams are in need of wide receivers such as: Bears, Seahawks, Rams, Dolphins, Jets, and Chiefs.

Who do you think will pick him up?
